Our Mission
The K9 PTSD Center, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established with two goals in mind: to heal the K9 heroes that served in the military and with law enforcement, and to research Canine PTSD (C-PTSD) so that these four-legged veterans can benefit from healing therapies. Our nonprofit is 100% dependent on animal lovers who care as much as we do about these former working dogs who suffer after a life of service to us. When you donate, you make a direct, immediate difference, and enable us to locate, house, feed, train, and rehabilitate surrendered K9s; facilitate research and education on C-PTSD; and place our specially trained therapeutic dogs with human military and law enforcement veterans who suffer from PTSD, too. All donations are tax-deductible.
Have you ever looked into the eyes of a K9 who has suffered trauma and seen the pain and confusion in its eyes, that brave but beat-down expression that looks like a plea for help? Or maybe you've seen the light coming back to a traumatized K9's eyes as it begins to hold its head a little higher and its gait becomes more trusting, confident, and relaxed. At the K9 PTSD Center, this is mission — to get the K9s who serve our military and law enforcement personnel back to a state of mental health so they can live fulfilling lives. It's only fair to the K9s who serve our country and citizens, but we need your help, as the center remains operable solely through charitable donations. Please contribute to the K9 PTSD Center's efforts today so you can make a difference in a working K9's tomorrow.
